The Black Panther Experience was a true success all weekend from several groups around the Boston area! On Friday Feb 16th, event organizers and social connectors - Farrah Belizaire (LiteWork Events), Sheena Collier (The Collier Connection), and Quontay Turner (Boston Young Black Professionals) - hosted Black Boston Night Out: Black Panther Black Out Experience. Over 500 young Black professionals joined a private, red carpet screening at Regal Fenway Stadium and an after party at Game On Fenway on opening night of the highly anticipated Black Panther movie. SATURDAY: Psi Omega Chapter members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at the Legacy Place theater on Saturday, February 17, 2018. They had a showing for their members and family. SUNDAY: Wakanda Rising is a National Movement represented by KN Capoeira Angola and Sunseeker Foundation. It is a loose network of private screeners that bought over 33,000 tickets. The mission is to use a mashup of arts, entertainment, and indigenous healing practices to help recover youth and families who have been exposed to sudden traumatic loss from disaster and human-caused incidents. Because of its location, the Boston team held its screenings at the AMC South Bay 12 theater.
