The professional vocal ensemble Blue Heron is "a continuing marvel of Boston's music scene" (N.Y. Times), acclaimed for the "expressive intensity" (The New Yorker) of its performances. In this special free concert, Blue Heron offers a festive assortment of songs and dances from 15th- and 16th-century Spain performed by a colorful array of musicians: six singers, a five-part Renaissance violin consort, two vihuelas, percussion, and a pair of dancers. Blue Heron is directed by early music specialist Scott Metcalfe.
Doors open at 3:30 PM
